About MOTM

Meeting of the Minds aka MOTM (pronounced like modem) is the brainchild of two friends, Baron Miller and Kurt Daradics, and started Q4 2007 in Agoura Hills.

The meet ups draw inspiration from two groups. The first being JUNTO, which was a meet up that Ben Franklin organized and eventually started the first Library and Hospital in the United States. The other group being the Mastermind Alliance that early 20th Century Industrialists organized. It's a little known fact, but Henry Ford, Thomas Edison, Andrew Carneige, Harry Firestone (Firestone Tires) and a few other entrepreneurs would regularly meet, and the rest is history.

Our intention is to catalyze a meeting where we can introduce old friends and new friends to each other, with the hope that our members would find quality relationships to do life and business with. Part of the magic is that we keep the attendance to less than 50 per meeting to maintain an intimate setting where folks can actually get related. The conversations all relate to some aspect of the internet, whether it be marketing, development, sales strategies, emerging technologies, with the intention to inform and empower our members to optimize their respective endeavors. We practice a simple format where we introduce everyone at the beginning of the meet up, and strongly encourage everyone to participate. Because the attendees are so eclectic we're able to get a very deep and wide perspective on the topics we cover, which makes for a stimulating and sometimes intense conversation. We're interesting in illuminating blind spots.

If this sounds like a conversation you'd benefit from and contribute to, then we encourage you to apply to join our invite list. Here's the invite request form.
